Learning digital marketing and different concepts can be a hard task for some but for most, I would imagine it's a pretty, pretty fair, I don't want to call it easy, but pretty fair, but you should pay attention to what's important to you, first of all, and you should pay attention to obviously what I say on this podcast. But no, in all seriousness, the way I break it down. Search is important social is important video, audio, display, email, pay per click, all that stuff is important, it's very important, but how to learn these different things is a whole nother task and actually can be, it can be difficult for for some I can see actually how it can be different difficult.
But the way I would learn it is in those in, I guess in a perspective of simplicity, you want to just find, you know if it takes in a nutshell, if it takes just focusing on one thing, just do that. So even though you know, I'll say different things in terms of a look at how people consume content, and you know, all these other different things, social media marketing, SEO, and all those things. If you want to narrow focus, and just concentrate just on one thing, do that. If it's a blog, a do that just write for your blog, or or you know, produce content for your blog, the best way you can or what have you.
Make sure you have a plan strategy for it. Also, any of these things, if you want to just sit behind a microphone and just a go after a podcast, do that focus on focus on one thing, there's no, there's no, I guess I should say, um, there are several ways to doing it, there's several ways to learn. But if you focus and narrow things down, that's a quick and easy way are more of a more of a subtle way to learn and just about anything. So and I say that within digital marketing as well.
Also within learning those different, you know, content strategies and things like that. You want to make sure that you hone in on your brand message, your brand, your brand, your brand, your brand is everything from your wording to your colors to you, yourself, you know. So that's a way that you can learn also, by focusing in and honing in on your message, your brand message is way more important than you think.
You also have to know you have to know where your audience hangs out if it's over there on YouTube, a start producing videos follow some of the best YouTube content creators, you know, they'll they'll steer you in the right direction. And that's and that's on anything if it's if it's blogging some of the best, you know, blogging experts. If it's, you know, podcasting, some of the best podcasting, the people that only talk about podcasting and growing your podcast and so on and so forth. So, I'm not one of those people that just say obviously, you know, I'm here I'm building a brand myself. I'm not wondering Those people that just gonna say,
Hey, listen to me, make sure you know, obviously I'm you know, I want you to come here and you know, share and listen and learn and all that stuff, you know, subscribe review and all of those different things I obviously want want that to happen, we all want that we all want to build community, but make sure that your focus is there. So focus on like I said on one platform, if, if that's what you need to do, if it's to do that also, just in a nutshell, understand where the attention is, that's so important understand where the attention is, understand where your audience attention is.
So understand that and hone in on that, you know, be a student of whatever it is that that you're doing, you know, if it's, you know, learning about any of these things, be a student, just like you would anything else, you know, a lot of these things, and a lot of these concepts might be new, you know, it might be far out in space for some people. And for some, you know, it may you may catch on quick, but it takes work, all this stuff takes work, it's not easy, per se, it might come easy to you after you start learning things and you know, the, the concepts of all of this stuff makes sense.
But learning, learning digital marketing are learning, content marketing, or learning, SEO, learning, email marketing, learning this stuff is is not hard. For some is not easy for some, but just make sure you focus in a, get a pen and pad watch videos, listen to podcast episodes, read how ever you can learn. Just make sure you focus on it, use your use your use your common sense, and get a pen and pad or, or how, however you like to take notes on these things. And, and not only, like I said, just listening to podcasts and watching videos and things of that nature, you have to take action, that's the most important thing had to take action, we can learn as much as possible.
But what's the use of learning if we're not trying to fail, probably threw you off with that did not try and to fail. If you fail, that doesn't mean that it's over. Failing is not getting something wrong, failing is getting something wrong, and then quitting. And you don't want to do that. You don't want to quit. So it's okay to fail. So okay, but take action, you have to take action. And guess what happens when you take action and you just keep chugging along, you're going to be seen as the expert in that particular field in a particular niche in that particular industry, you're going to be seen as the expert and then you will notice that people will come to you for information
for that particular thing, whether it's by coming to your blog, or coming to your YouTube videos or coming to you listen to your, you know, your podcast episodes, going to your social media sites, you know, people are gonna come to you, and it's just how it works. You know, you'll gain trustworthiness, you know, you'd be looked at as, as the authority, simple as that focus, and action. And you'll be just fine.
